The Funny Side!

My first post, so I figured I’ll start with some funny thought about Technology & Security…

When Technology turns into Tech NO logy……………
And here you’re, feeling so proud, you’re the master of technology, the king of all devices, the ruler of all gadgets, you have it all, pc, tablets, phones, watches, controllers, all the bells and whistles, you’re bragging about this and that, a button for this, a biometric for that, until one day, somewhere in the Netherland, maybe China, or maybe even next door, a young chap with long hair sitting in a dark room full of empty Pizza boxes, countless crushed Rock Star cans and enough computers to run another Apollo mission decides he’s bored and wants to have some fun……

So there you’re, sitting hopeless in your living room in your underwear, your AC controller has been hacked and shut off…

A bag of whatever left of the ice in your fridge on your head, the compressor was just forced to work beyond its limits and got burned out…

The only channel available on your TV is a 24x7 advertisement for Anti Virus software…

Your Apple watch insists on displaying the time in China…

Your Laptop is booting and rebooting to no end…

Your iPad is playing “It’s the end of the world” by R.E.M in a loop…

You can get several Channels on your FM stereo set, only problem is they’re all the same, and keeps repeating a commercial about a supposedly delicious confiscated pre packaged Microwavable Hungarian Goulash

All the lights in your house went out…

Your Mobile phone turns on, but only makes calls to some country in South America…

You receive a credit card bill saying you owe $12,000 for transactions you never made, and your name now is something you can’t even pronounce…

Your Garage door is permanently open and only closes when it detects movement!
And you swear you just saw your Car backing out of the driveway with no one on the driver’s seat…

Meantime, your neighbor, a 75 years old retiree, who doesn’t give a hoot about technology, is sitting in his living room, and the only thing he’s worried about, is whether he asked his wife, who went food shopping, to buy him his favorite Sara Lee Bread……

Long Live Technology!

Love this, absolutely spot on, someone invents something new and everybody or most everybody has got to have it just to beat if not keep up with the Jones’s. No one thinks its safer to be old school instead the whitehats see it as the opportunity to beat the black hats at their own game, still it keeps us security folk in a job.
